Baobei
PERFORMING AT PHOENIX ARTS CLUB
Baobei (宝贝) is the moniker of London-born, British-Chinese producer, DJ and songwriter Lila Yin. Meaning “darling” or “treasure” in Mandarin, Baobei is Lila’s musical alter-ego, an avatar in a dreamworld of her own design. Blending next gen UKG and house with pure pop sensibilities, Baobei’s music explores dualities; the organic and the digital, the soft and divine feminine, a girl online and a body in the dance. Inspired by collectives who uplift marginal voices in electronic music, Baobei’s mission is to build a boundless club space where ravers of all backgrounds can freely express themselves and connect.
