PERFORMING AT B.R.A.T.
Norwegian young grunge/rock band the clumps is quickly becoming one of Scandinavia’s most exciting new live acts.
With a raw sound that blends the urgency of early Nirvana, the heaviness of
Metz and Slomosa, and the introspective edge of Radiohead at their darkest, they’ve carved out a space that feels both familiar and fiercely original.
Over the past year, the clumps have shaken up Norway’s live scene – turning heads at a packed by:Larm showcase at Revolver, storming major festivals like Bergenfest, and igniting the crowd at Tons of Rock.
Their 2025 singles “Middle” and “Worthless” received critical acclaim and national
airplay on NRK P3 and P13, standing out for their emotional weight and sonic punch. The latter has streamed 800K since its release in September 2025 and the clumps are currently at 200 000 monthly listeners.
The band is now in the studio recording their sophomore album with Eirik Marinius (Slomosa), building on their signature blend of grunge, post-rock and noise-driven catharsis. Their latest single “****(save us)” is listed on NRK P3 and was mixed in by Ceaser Edmunds (QUATSA, Wet Leg). The quartet recently played their debut concert in London, and are playing Eurosonic in January.
the clumps are proudly independent, despite strong label interest in Norway – working with Made Management and ACT Booking (Live Nation), and seeking the right partners internationally. The band is now looking toward the UK, aiming to bring their intense, stripped-down live energy to new audiences.
